weekend

Posting after a long long time :)

Friday- working late as usual.

Saturday - This week's cricket game was exhaustive. We played for almost three hours in burning sun (84 degrees). I played very well and won the game from my team :)

Sunday - Got up at 3pm afternoon ;) and after Walmart shopping, went to "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" at Tyson's corner AMC theaters, VA. I am not a big fan of Harry potter and so i can't say whether the movie was good or bad but in my view the ending was abrupt.

Tv series: 24 Trailer

So, atlast Fox released the much awaited trailer of "24" Season 7.

The first thing that came to my mind while watching the trailer was "Die Hard 4.0" movie. I bet, you will second that, once you watch the trailer. So in this season, it's up to Jack Bauer to save the country from a series of cyber attacks !!*??*!? . Okay, Okay! no more spoiler alerts from me. Check out the trailer yourself from the link i am providing you below.

Trailer looks really promising and i hope this season will be far better than the previous Season. Keifer Sutherland was awsome asusual and as you all know this time the backdrop isn't the usual one (CTU, Atlast the center stage is shifted from LA ).

Season Start: 13.01.2008 (Two hours Premiere Episode)
Source: Link

Twenty20 Worldcup: India enters Super8 with style

Twenty20 is a different kind of cricket in which no team can be considered as favourites (remember the match between zim vs AUS) . It' all about how you would handle the pressure situations and with a bit of luck on your team.

No one would have expected india to win today's match after the poor performance by their top order batsmen. Sehwag as usual started his innings with his trademark shot but perished within the next two balls. The conditions were favourable for the bowlers and Asif took maximum advantage of it. Now he has the second best bowling performance(4/18) in Twenty20 matches after MR Gillespie(4/7 against Kenya ).

The fielding was good from india this time, supporting their bowlers. We can always expect 6 runs per over from agarkar though he takes one or two quick wickets. Irfan's comeback to the team was good with his economical performance i nthe bowling department in this match.

Sreesanth, i believe, won this match for india because even in any one-day international against a big team with one run to score with two ball remaining, you can never expect the match to end up as a tie game!!

After watching the highlights of BOWLOUT, i thought that Pakistan' bowlers were very casual about the outcome of this game (maybe it's because they know that they qualified for Super8). As expected, india went for all spinners to bowl and they did as expected from them. Pakistan's bowlers didn't even find atleast one stump to hit !!! and atlast India won by 3-0 margin.

Hope India continues the same spirit in the remaining matches of the tournament.

Future: Beautiful skyscrappers in India

I was browsing for something else and accidentally stumbled on this Skyscrapper blog. I took time on each entry on the blog and find it very interesting.

Examples:
Skyscrappers in Hyderabad!!

Link
Hopefully the infastructure will be according to the international standards.

Tallest Hindu Temple in the world

Look how beautiful it will be, when it's completed. The entire structure will be built with bricks fired from Ganga silt.

Link1
Link2

As long as these commercial projects doesn't effect agriculture(most of these projects are build on agricultural land on the outskirts of the cities{cheaper land prices,..})and other things, it's really good news for indian economy.

India vs Englad: 6th ODI

Wow!!. What a match it was! First of all, i never expected that England would cross 250, but they did (thnx to the lower order for hitting huge sixes n fours) and then India fought hard to win the game atlast in the final over with two ball left.

The openers (Ganguly and Sachin) continued their excellent performance with 150 runs partnership between them and laid the solid foundation for the other players to come and hit. I was surprised at Rahul's choice of sending in Gambhir as one-down batsman instead of specialist hitter, Robin Uthappa. Fortunately, Uthappa played a major role, infact i would say, single handedly won the game, playing in the lower order for India.

<lj-embed id="2" />
Last Two overs of Indian Innings

INSAT 4CR was launched using GSLV

Developing both the launch vehicle(GSLV) and the satelite(Insat 4CR) and most importantly finding out the problem and taking measures from the unfortuante last year's unsucessful launch of Insat-4CR is Surely a remarkable achievement by ISRO.

<lj-embed id="1" />

It's been a very very long time from my previous update. This weekend was fun and i never knew how it passed by. Highlight of the weekend was the city festival, on saturday night. I will upload the pictures and videos as soon as possible.

Generally i don't prefer to eat outside regularily until and unless i go out with friends. Since, everyone was busy on august 15th, myself and bunch of my friends decided to go to Pizza hut last friday. Pizza was delicious as usual but i had to work hard (chewing all the time, huh). By the time i went back to my apartment it was 1am in the morning. Though i was very exhausted, i couldn't get any sleep. So, inturn i spend time going through online newspapers, blogs and other stuff till next day morning.

I went to my friends place for lunch on saturday. Luckily by the time i went there, he finished preparing everything. One of my friend was visiting india the next day, so we decided to check in the lugagge on saturday evening itself. There was no rush at all at the airport and she checked in all her lugagge except the laptop. We came back and we decided to go the stadtfest. Unfortunately, by the time we finished the dinner, the fireworks at city center ended.

The festival was asusual rocking with rock music, fusion music etc., Unfortunately i didnt charge my camera batteries beforehand and i had to constantly change the batteries to take a snap or two. We were there till 3am in the morning and i had one more hour for send-off. I came home by 4am and got ready by 5am. Since everyone came the day before to the airport when she was checking in her lugagge, no one came on sunday morning except myself. Since we checked in the lugagge one day before, she went to security check directly.

By the time i came back to my apartment it was almost 7am. I was so exhausted that i slept till 8pm in the evening, huh.

House Season 4 - 1st episode spoiler pics

They are surely spicing up the next season with new characters. I heard that the three ducks will no longer work under House(chase, foreman and cameron). In Initial few weeks, house will choose atleast five physicians from 40 odd doctors !!! House is desparate :))

House looks very sad and definitely missing his ducks :p

The good ol’ boys!

Wilson relaxing in his office

source: http://www.houseisright.com

If you would like to keep track of your friends posts and your a regular firefox browser user, please install this addon. This will help you to monitor your friends page and access your journal easily.

By default, it will give updates of all the communities and friends posts. Instead, if you want to get notifications for journals only or whatever you want, you have to make slight modifications.

* Please create the group named "Mobile View" here.
* put the journals you need in this group.
Heroes next season hint

It seems that the Petrelli brothers n Sylar are back in business for the next season. That indicates no one died, though season Finale shows as if Nathan and peter killed Sylar.

It seems that the time gap between season Finale and Second season first episode would be four months and one of the character dies in the first season. I couldn't figure out even with a hint which one dies. Please let me know.
..internet.

I am so much dependent on web these days that i cannot imagine life without it. Most of my work is dependent on it, i have to search for technical papers, to study or work, or even to talk with parents thru VOIP.

Sleeeep..

Fortunately or unfortunately most of the times, i cannot control my sleep. When i used to work in Infineon, i used to sleep early (10-11pm) and rise early(5-6am). But these days i am out of that loop. Trust me its very difficult to sleep early (before 12).Uuuhhh..

*** *** ***

I was awake by 5am yesterday morning and so by the time my friends were preparing food for dinner i did first round of sleep. After they finished, somehow i woke up, went down with them, had dinner, came back up to my apartment and went back to sleep.

My journal is ...

So, indianethic, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 0% unique and 42% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy tennis). When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.

Your overall weirdness is: 6
(The average level of weirdness is: 27.
You are weirder than 6% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!
